I noticed that I use a lot of transparent see-through stuff. The funny thing is I am not pro-transparency or anything. I am just a lazy girl. I want to find the thing that I need in a container or bag. There's noting more or less to it.
Also I love that those things are non-investments. I mean buying orange juice or make your own juice for half the price. That decision is easily made. I make own fresh orange juice for half the price and burn off calories that's required to make it.
We all want to be pro-green and with that we all think about recycling. But really using the product to the end of it's lifespan and then recycle is the ideal situation. I am not very pro-green or actively involved but when I get stuff, I find it a waste not to use.
Perhaps you have read my other post where I wrote about replacing one thing for another. I've replace my electric toothbrush holder because I couldn't clean it anymore. The holder is basically a cap from a big bottle of shower product. At the time when the bottle is empty the bottle's lifespan came to an end. It doesn't hold any shower gel and the purpose of the bottle is to contain shower gel. The bottle and cap where separated from each other and I added some time to the lifespan of the cap. I get that in the end it will be recycled.
But in the meanwhile I didn't buy something to be a holder and that's green. We tend to forget that making products does requires energy and resources. So replacing it with another cap that has reached it's end of the lifespan makes it even better.
