Replace, Repurpose & Recycle

before
We already knew that somebody's trash can be some else gold. I think there is a saying in English that comes close to this meaning but I forgot how it exactly goes.

This week I baby-sited my nephew for a few hours and fed him some puree out of the bottle. Afterwards I washed it and decided to use it on my desk.

after
I love how it turn out. I used a plastic dessert container as you can see it's a square and it falls constantly. I used some tacky gum to stick it to the table. But in the long run it wasn't an ideal solution.

I want my desk to be free from clutter. I decide to use a transparent container cause I can see what's in it. The opening is also bigger then the bottom which means I can put a lot off stuff in it and get it out easily.

It doesn't show in the picture but there is a rip, in one of the edge and I was looking for something to replace it. The baby food glass fulfills all the criteria that I look for in a pencil holder.

Small & Transparent, so I won't put random things in it. The opening is small which means it's difficult to get things out of it. For a lazy person that I am, it means don't put small stuff in it that I don't need. It's also easy to clean and if it's broken, I can find an replacement in a few days(buying the product for my nephew, fed him and keeping the glass).

The process in the keywords that I like to use are: replace, repurpose and recycle and are in use at the exact same time. Cause when I found out that the bottle could be used as a pencil holder(repurpose), it immediatly became a replace(able) for the plastic container which then needed to be recycled. How cool is that.
