I Fell

It's stupid those commercials buy this and get something free. I have to admit I just fell for this trick. I have to say it is the oldest trick ever. Where, where was my logical mind at the time. I'm kidding I did think this through before I bought the stuff.

Now what is that stuff I have written about, it's just two small bottles of Vaseline. When I saw the commercial buy two product from these brands and get a towel for free it didn't appeal to me yet. When I saw that they add 3 stickers for a saving card I was hooked.

I know people that are collecting the stickers to get a free washcloth. I am that polite to call them up to tell them about this. They are overjoyed when you pay attention to them while talking/shopping and even more so when they just miss one sticker.

I wasn´t planning to buy something at that shop. But a few days ago I started to fell a bit less fit and today it just hit me hard. I forgot that due to great weather the last few weeks the plants and trees are starting to bloom. And with that means pollen in the air. Luckily I am not allergic to every kind but it does sting when it come in contact with my eyes.

My bad habit of rubbing my eyes with the back of my hand caused me a lot of pain. My eyes were itchy and the only remedy for this is cooling my eyes down with my eye-gel-mask. I washed my face and put the mask on to let it cool. Afterwards I put some oil on it to prevent myself from rubbing my eyes and let all those pollen stick on my face. This means that after a few hours I have to wash again and apply some more oil.

Why did I use oil? It's because I ran out of normal petroleum jelly. I still have a bottle of menthol jelly but I would never use that around my eyes cause it stings. I wanted to buy those small lipcare Vaseline but they were overpriced so I settled for a 100ml small container for under €2,-.

Yes, I fell for this commercial trick but at the same time I am capable of helping a friend to complete his card and get some protection for my eyes.
