Lately my smartphone didn't work as I wanted so it's about time to search for solutions. I know for certain that I have enough space on my phone, with 32 gb it's easy to guess it isn't the memory. The thing I needed to update is the software.
I clean up my device quite regularly and I don't put to much media on it. So it won't be able to crash because of lack of memory. I also close program's though I have to mention lately I am a bit tardy. I do check the weekly updates but there wasn't a stable release.
So I went to the site of CyanogenMod to check. They scrapped the stable release and instead they delivered a 'M' version, something about a monthly update. Which is great for a noob like I, I have now a reminder in my schedule to check the site every month.
Now my device works as fast as before and I am happy with it! For those who have an older smartphone or tablet, try running a custom rom. Click on the link to be redirected and search if your device is supported by Cyanogenmod. The Galaxy SI that I am using is a second hand, at first the device it's so slow cause it runs on stock android and after a while Samsung didn't support the device with updates. I tried to find a solution cause the specs on it are still amazing and more than enough for me.
So next time you have a device that isn't supported by the manufacture don't forget to check if there isn't an other solution like Cyanogenmod.
