Appreciate it when it's gone?

You would think having a trash bin in every room would help to have a tidy room. I think for some people it would be but recently I found out I am not one of those people. For years I have plastic bags in my room a s trash bin. I didn't feel the need to throw it away on a weekly basis, instead that bag has been just half full for weeks.

So I thought maybe it's because it's not a real bin. With that thought in mind, I bought a bin and used it. But in the end it didn't work. My room is still full of stuff and the bin is never really full. And in a strange way when I thought about reducing the use of plastic bags I decided not to have a 'trash bin' in every room. Instead I just have one small one in the bathroom and trow the bag away on a weekly basis.

Strangely enough both the attic and my room stayed clean, free of clutter. To be fair I do put some effort to have a nice and clean sleeping environment. So I thought myself the habit of taking tissue, cotton swab or sticky notes etc. with me when I brush my teeth in the morning. There is a certain spot near the door where I trow all those stuff together so in the morning I don't need to put effort in collecting it. Yeah, lazy people find the strangest way to get the task done without much effort.

The attic where a lot of clutter is stored didn't get the same treatment. I didn't put any effort in cleaning but because of the lack of a 'trash bin' I have been collecting stuff to trow away in smaller portions which has shrunk my pile of stuff laying around.

It's funny that because of the lack of a bin I m aching to trow it away. Perhaps I am not that normal?
