I never played sports which a lot of people always ask me. What sport do you do? In PE I always was competitive because I love to win (I think?). I'm still surprised that I could keep up with guys and other folks who were in sport clubs. I think I love to move around.
Even now with the trend of going to the gym. I never found the need to become a member. My BMI (body mass index) is okay and I feel fine in my skin. I may not be what you call pretty, likely average but I am happy about myself. I just don't let others tell me how I should feel.
But I still do some exercise like sitting on my yoga/gym ball. It's great cause I'm continue moving and it's bouncy. I started to switch from sitting on a chair to the ball for back reasons. I found out that I was not sitting correctly and slouching over my keyboard when I was behind my pc. I also use it as a stretching utility. Laying on my back and roll the ball and I hear my bones crack.
Few days ago I had pain in my neck after waking up. I tried massaging products but it still stings but after stretching I felt a little bit better. Next to my gym ball I try some yoga position to strenghten my muscles.
Other kind exercises are walking and riding my bike. The city I live in has great bicycle roads but they are messing up the infrastructure by designing the city in a metropolis. My city is not only losing its character but the design of the city will become post modern. I 'm saying it will turn up like a lego city. Which is a shame because the city used to be a village turned city because of the textile industry. It has left a footprint throughout the city. Now it looks like they have three to five captains who want to steer the ship. Please just don't scrap the bicycle roads. (Sorry for going off topic)
Eating to me is the same as enjoying life. So I eat what I want and never ever had calculated how much calories I had taken. Although I have to say I don't like too greasy food. Especially when my mom boils vegetables I complain about the oil I see. Then she goes around that when eating outside they put 5 times more oil in it. Seriously if I boil my vegetables I never put oil in it. I just sprinkle some soja saus when its on the plate and that's it.
I still eat chocolate as long it's dark or real Belgium bonbons/truffles. I never choose something light. I don't drink Light drinks, I really dislike them. It's all bullsh*t, they just put light on it to let you think it's healthier but it isn't. Or the zero, like it's zero calories the only food I know that has a negative count on calories is celery. At least Pepsi is honest with its Pepsi Max. Get the maximum sugar rush you need (I am kidding).
Well I always had watched Oprah and now dr. Oz. I tried watching dr. Phil but it is always depressive so I gave up on it. I've watched it as "learning English" excuse. No, I really enjoyed watching Oprah. I tried the tips&tricks they gave but most of it were already in my biology textbook or they were too logical (means I already knew them).
I am not a specialist but I genuine believe as long you're healthy and happy about you body it doesn't matter how slim you are. I also think if you want to control your weight most of the time you lose control. But exercise all you want cause it's healthy for the mind and body.
