Yesterday morning the recycle truck came and took all my heavy stuff. Last week I have been spending my time in looking for things that can be picked up. Because of the purchases of a new tv our old television had to go. I also cleaned up two suitcases to go along with it.
Books and small stuff that I already prepared to be donated went in it and left the house at the same time. The old juicer in a different box went away too. Two old handheld vacuum cleaner where the battery is dead has been picked up too.
It's really nice, a week ago I called the free pick up service and they planned it after a whole week. In the mean time I knew that they were going to get my stuff, I also called my sister if they have anything they want to get rid of. So, I got our old pc from the attic and donated that too.
A bunch of stuff, gone in under two minutes. I expected two guys but no there were four to six of them. I just prepared two cold coke in the fridge which isn't enough so, I didn't even mentioned it. But hey they did their job great and I am grateful to them.
It's nice I created more space with so many things gone. This last two weeks I spent my time looking for things to be donated just to be picked up. If you have a service in your city which is absolutely free like I described would you consider to plan this?
It's the first time I used this service, I mean I have visited enough thrift shop but calling them to pick it up is something new. I'm very happy cause this time I have given things away that I usually consider keeping just for in case and now I am a little bit more free.
