Plastic straws

Remember my huge shampoo bottle with a pomp. It's great but the original straw that comes with the pomp is too short and I already tried with normal straw to extend the reach but since two weeks ago I couldn't get shampoo out of it normally. I had to unscrew and pour it out. So in the weekend I went to the Amazing oriental with my mother and before that we made a stop at the Ikea.

In there I picked up this package of long thick durable straw. The opening is a little bit larger than normal straws but not big enough to fit over the pump. So I had to use a little bit of force with my pliers to increase the opening. I started to think to warm the plastic up with an lighter but both the pump as the straw is plastic and I let the idea fly away out of my head. I had to push and wiggle the straw over the end of the pump and the end result is perfect. I love how I can use the pomp again as usual. The way I try to improve the stuff that I have is amazing. The package of straw didn't even cost me an euro. I can also give away these straw to my nephews whom would love it. It's like hitting two birds with one stone.
