All the bulbs in my home are LED. In 2013 I switched out all the old original bulbs into LED's. I indeed skipped the energy saving and halogeen bulbs. I used to not know how I should choose the color code for a specific room. Like in the bathroom near the mirror to see if you washed your face clean I am supposedly use a bulb with 6000 kelvin coulour and in the living room depending on the season, I switch in or out for 3000 to 4000.
Cause in the winter a very warm light also makes it feel warmer and in the summer you want it colder so I use a brighetr color of white 4000K.
In the fridge for example my light bulb is also 6000K because it keeps the products inside looking cooler and fresh. The reason I now regulary switch it out is because a friend and old colleague has told me how lights are supposed to be implemented. We both worked in a trading company that sells LED lightning. She used to sell those to USA customers and she had proper training about the technical details of leds.
So she taught me a lot about it and my knowledge about it increased significantly. I could talk wit suppliers about the details, convince them and sell the products. So the color does matter when you buy bulbs.
And as you can see I just put them in a drawer with two plastic crackers container to form a box, genius right.
