I bought a pair of new gymnastic shoes. They were in sale for €15,-. I don't really like or hate the brand, it just fulfills a need. I needed flexible shoes for the gym which I didn't have. So I saw it in sale and knew I was going to use it and bought it. That's it.
Next thing I got was a voucher with perhaps a winning number and filled in my email to receive a voucher for my next purchase. Now the shop practically thinks I am a Fila fan, I must love this brand because I bought one pair of shoes. This is basically marketing, they think I like the brand and expect that I am a loyal customer. Guess again, I'm not!
So two weeks has passed and I received around 5 emails and thought it's enough. I unsubscribed myself of the newsletter because I don't want to be brainwashed to be a Fila fanatic.
I'm not really angry at the brand, this just showcase how marketing companies work to slip these brand into you everyday life. They want to tempt me with another buy by reminding me when there is a sale or a new product launch. It's fine but I don't want an email every 3 days about the same subject. I'm not zombie that follows because you want me to.
