This year I finally backed a product that was on Kickstarter. For myself it was having something that added value in my life and it's not available in the store. I found the nope 2.0, before receiving the actual product I already got the message that the product would be thicker then mentioned before.
I'm absolute for internet safety, so covering up my webcams on my pc and tablet is something what I already do by using paper or sticky note. I was absolutely thrilled and ordered 6 of them. Eventually I got it in the mail and wanted to stick on my notebook. The only thing is, that it doesn't close like in the picture.
I was already afraid when I got the update message that the goods will be thicker. They did try to sell it by telling it would protect your stuff better etc. But my feelings about that message was already negative. That's not the only thing that bothered me, it also didn't arrive at the promised time.
All in all, I am very disappointed at how my first backer action on Kickstarted ended. But it doesn't hold me back in backing any other project. I am already trying to find something that can actually add some value like how the Nope 2.0 was intended.
The trick with disappointment is to trick yourself that it could be worse!
